Efficacy of Regular Soap vs. Antibacterial Soap for Acne-Prone Skin
Efficacy of Regular Soap vs. Antibacterial Soap for Acne-Prone Skin
I've read through the previous discussions about the effectiveness of antibacterial soaps versus regular ones, and I'm particularly interested in how this applies to those of us with acne-prone skin. I understand that antibacterial ingredients like triclosan may not be present in all soaps and that they have the potential to harm both beneficial and harmful bacteria. In my experience, using soap variants like Irish Spring hasn't been beneficial for my body acne, and I'm curious if others have had similar experiences with such products. Has anyone with acne found success with regular soap over antibacterial versions, or perhaps natural alternatives like sandalwood or neem oil soap? Furthermore, what are your thoughts on the long-term impacts of using antibacterial products on our skin's microbiome and overall health?
