Seeking Alternatives to Kiehl's Discontinued Shave Balm
Seeking Alternatives to Kiehl's Discontinued Shave Balm
I'm reaching out to the community because I recently discovered that Kiehl's Ultimate After Shave Balm has been discontinued – a product I deeply trusted for post-shave care. As I'm back to shaving after a decade with a beard, I'm in search of a new balm that offers similar qualities: notably a thick, moisturizing cream that effectively prevents razor burn. I understand there are a variety of options out there, including Gentlemen's Refinery, Truefitt & Hill, Wholly Kaw, Nancy Boy, and Stirling. I've also come across a product called Trumper's Skin Food with a high glycerin content. If anyone has personal experience with these or other soothing shave balms, I’d be grateful for your input. Specifically, if you know of balms that have a rich texture and provide that cooling, calming sensation upon application, that's exactly what I'm after. Recommendations for products accessible and within a moderate price range would be particularly appreciated. Thanks for sharing your go-to post-shave solutions!

Really sympathize with you on this. For that rich, moisturizing feel, I've had great results with Truefitt & Hill's Ultimate Comfort line. It's on the pricier side, but a little goes a long way. If you're leaning towards something more budget-friendly, Stirling balms have been a solid go-to with a thicker consistency. Both options have been excellent in preventing razor burn for me. Hope you find the perfect match!
