Creating a Custom Scented Beard Balm

Post by Kai52 »

I recently embarked on a project to curate a rose-scented grooming collection, and while I've succeeded in finding soaps and splashes, a rose-scented beard balm has eluded me. A fellow member suggested adding rose essential oil to an unscented balm, which seems like a viable solution, but I wonder about the consistency and preservation of the scent. Has anyone here created their own custom scented beard products? If so, how did you ensure a lasting fragrance without overpowering the senses? Also, are there particular brands that offer a neutral base specifically formulated for adding essential oils? I'd love to hear about your experiences and any tips you might have for a novice in the handmade grooming product world.

I blend my own oils! Start small with the rose EO; you can always add more.

Mixing essential oil with a neutral balm can work. Just start with a drop to test scent strength and skin sensitivity.

I've had success adding essential oils to unscented products. It's a great way to customize scents.
