Exploring Homemade Natural Aftershave Recipes

Post by HunterHiker »

I've recently taken an interest in creating my own aftershave blends at home using entirely natural ingredients. I've noticed a few of you mention mixing your own concoctions with ingredients like glycerin, aloe vera, and tea tree oil. I'm intrigued by the idea of crafting a personalized aftershave that could cater exactly to my skin's needs. For those of you who have experience in this area, could you share what combinations have worked for you, any tips on ratios, and how you determined which ingredients to include? I’m particularly curious about balancing the antiseptic properties with moisturizing elements to ensure a soothing post-shave experience without drying out the skin.

Starting with a base of witch hazel and aloe vera, then adding a few drops of glycerin for moisture works well. Essential oils can add antiseptic properties.
