Seasonal Appropriateness of Fragrances

Post by Owen53 »

I've been pondering over the idea of seasonal fragrance choices and how they interact with not just personal preference, but also with external temperatures and seasons. I'm particularly interested in understanding how members of this community adjust their fragrance routine as the seasons change. For instance, some perfumes are said to be overpowering or take on a different character when worn in heat versus cooler weather. I'm keen on learning from your experiences—have you ever chosen a scent that felt out of place during a particular season? How do you decide when it’s the right time to transition to your fall or winter fragrances, like the decision to wear Guerlain Heritage in October? And, when you do make that switch, do you take into account the different notes that might be more pronounced with the seasonal change in temperature? Let's discuss how we navigate the delicate balance of scent and season to find harmony in our fragrance choices.

I love adjusting my scents with the seasons! It's like dressing in layers for your nose. I've definitely worn a warm, spicy fragrance in summer and regretted it when it intensified in the heat. Learning from experience, I now save those for cooler days and opt for fresher scents in the heat. It's all about finding that perfect harmony between scent and season!

I love transitioning to warmer scents in fall to match the cozy atmosphere.
