Optimizing Barbicide Dilution for Different Jar Sizes

Post by TylerTravels »

I've been trying to figure out the correct dilution of Barbicide for my new 21 oz. jar—I want to ensure that I'm using the product safely and effectively without wasting any. Online, all I seem to find is the standard dilution recommendation for a 32 oz. jar, which is 2 oz. of Barbicide. For those of you experienced in using Barbicide, how do you adjust the dilution for a smaller jar? Is there a precise formula you follow to scale down from the 32 oz. recommendation, or is there a bit more flexibility? Also, does the presence of tools like razors in the jar affect how much disinfectant I should use? I'm looking for advice on how to tweak these ratios while still maintaining the disinfectant's strength and effectiveness.

Sounds like you've got it right with 1.25 oz for a 21 oz jar!

Based on my experience, I'd halve the original recipe: 1 oz. Barbicide to 16 oz. water for a 21 oz. jar to leave room for the razor. Always follow the label instructions too.
