Evaluating Brand Assertions: Genuine Product Design Differences or Clever Marketing?

I've been intrigued by the recent discussions we've had around the characteristics and quality of razor blades, specifically when comparing the Gillette Platinum and King C Gillette blades. Despite the statement from Procter & Gamble clarifying that they are indeed different designs, I can't help but wonder about the tangible impact these differences have on our shaving experience. Are we, as consumers, actually able to discern the variations in blade design during our routine, or could this be a case where marketing has amplified perceived differences that have minimal real-world implications? Does anyone have firsthand experiences where the design differences between these blades were clearly noticeable and if so, could you describe those differences in terms of shaving performance, comfort, and blade longevity? I'm eager to hear more about personal observations and whether they line up with the claims made by the brand.

I've noticed a smoother shave and longer blade life with King C Gillette over Platinums.

I've had a similar experience. It can be hard to discern the differences, but it's always interesting to see how various products perform for different people.
