Managing Sensitive Skin with Electric Shavers
I've been following the discussions about electric razors with great interest, especially since I've faced similar issues with skin irritation from traditional wet shaving. After reading some reviews, including one particularly enlightening one on the Arc 5, I've been convinced to give electric shavers a try. Over the years, I've struggled with the redness and pain that come with shaving a thick, multi-directional beard using double-edge razors. The situation was exacerbated when I had to switch to blood thinners, making the use of safety razors a non-option. This led me to electric shavers as an alternative, and so far, it's been a revelation. I'm curious to know if others have had similar experiences transitioning from wet shaving to electric due to skin sensitivity or medical reasons. How did you find the adaptation process, and what specific features or techniques with electric shavers have you found to lessen irritation? Also, I'd appreciate any tips on electric shaving for someone with a particularly tough beard who aims for a close, irritation-free shave.
