Is the chrome plating on the Merkur 38C durable?

I've recently acquired the Merkur 38C and I'm impressed with its overall build quality, but I'm curious to know more about the durability of its chrome plating. I've read that the Merkur 38C is made from chrome-plated brass with a die-cast zinc razor head and electroplated surfaces, which sounds impressive, but I want to know if the chrome plating is durable enough to withstand daily use and cleaning. I'm assuming the materials used are recyclable, but I'd like to know more about the alloy composition and the manufacturing process that goes into creating this razor. Is the chrome plating casted or manufactured using a specific process? I've heard that the Merkur 38C is a well-balanced and solidly built razor, but I'm concerned about the potential for corrosion over time. Given the complex engineering that goes into creating this razor, I'd like to know if the chrome plating is designed to provide longevity and resist corrosion. Can anyone with experience using the Merkur 38C provide some insight into the durability of its chrome plating?
