Efficacy vs. Scent in Haircare Products

Recently, I've been exploring different haircare options and decided to try out a generic tea tree shampoo, influenced by some favorable comments about the name-brand equivalent. The results were impressive in terms of hair texture improvement, but the strong scent was a bit off-putting for me. This got me thinking about the balance between product effectiveness and fragrance appeal. Have others found themselves in a similar predicament, choosing between the performance of a product and its scent? Additionally, for those who might be sensitive to particular fragrances, how do you go about finding a product that meets both criteria for efficacy and a pleasant aroma? Do you have any tips or specific product recommendations that manage to deliver high-quality results without compromising on a delightful scent?

Absolutely relate to this! Scent can be a dealbreaker, so sometimes I'll sniff around in the store before buying. And when a product works wonders but the fragrance is a no-go, I explore similar options. Found success with some brands offering 'light scent' or 'fragrance-free' versions to get the best of both worlds. Keep experimenting!

I've been there! I once tried a potent-smelling shampoo that worked wonders but nearly singed my nostrils. Have you considered adding a few drops of essential oil to mask the scent?
